What Can Rogue Pest Solutions do to help manage mosquitoes on my property?
Rogue Pest Solutions will provide a thorough inspection of your property to look for areas where mosquito breeding is likely or evident. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water. Areas that commonly have standing water include: Old tires, children’s toys, uncapped fence posts, tree stumps, small ditches, clogged French drains, planter boxes, bird baths, and more. Upon finding breeding sites for mosquitoes we will either remove the items, discard the standing water, or apply a product that is safe for animals but prevents breeding by mosquitoes. In addition to the elimination of breeding sites we will also make a low toxicity pesticide application to all areas where mosquitoes frequently rest before feeding. This includes all foliage within seventy-five feet from your home from ankle height up to ten feet as well as all areas where shade is created in late afternoon such as under decks and eaves. While certain species can travel several miles from their breeding site, they most commonly wait in shady areas in late afternoon to wait on a host for them to feed. It is at this point that they will encounter a lethal exposure to our application.
